Outside, there’s an acre of garden, a terrace with sun loungers and a BBQ area, perfect for warm summer evenings. There’s even a gate in the garden with direct access to the South West Coastal Path and down to the beach.
There are five beautiful bedrooms, each with a sumptuous ViSpring bed, and two with oak four-posters. The clever angling of the house means that all bedrooms have stunning sea views, while the deck-chair colour scheme, beautiful bleached wood and tree trunk stools all add to the coastal chic. The en-suite bathrooms have Hansgrohe deluge showers and Fired Earth and Island Stone tiles, while three of the bedrooms boast a freestanding Castello bath, perfect for relaxing with views over the Atlantic.
The living room has been designed so everyone can relax together. There’s a lovely homely feel created by the warming Stuv woodburner, the inviting sofas and the luxury linens, leather and wood materials. The large round games table is perfect for late-night Scrabble and Monopoly Marathons.
The kitchen features local stone surfaces and is equipped with a stylish breakfast bar and luxury appliances by Gaggenau. There is a bespoke dining table from New York with Cherner chairs in the adjacent dining room which has a wonderful beachside feel due to the huge driftwood features and lanterns throughout. Doors lead straight out to the terrace and garden - perfect for when you’re having an evening BBQ.
Enjoy a big-screen movie experience without leaving the house. Little Polgarron's cinema room comes complete with a 50” TV and Apple TV box, along with a huge leather sofa, Fat Boy beanbags and comfy cushions; there’s even a PS3 with multiple controllers. A stylish study with plenty of books provides the perfect space to relax and read or catch up on your emails.
Large double-fronted windows open out onto an acre of garden which is landscaped with native plants and grasses. The terrace has sun loungers, as well as a BBQ and extra seating, providing the ultimate chill-out area on warm summer evenings. The gate in the garden offers direct access to the South West Coast Path and down to the beach - there’s even an outdoor shower so you can wash off sand and saltwater with ease.
Little Polgarron sits directly on one of the best surfing bays in Cornwall. Booby’s Bay offers great waves and it’s a mere stroll from the house, via the garden. Harlyn Surf School is just over the headland from Little Polgarron and is a great place to hire boards, or take advantage of lessons in surfing, stand up paddle boarding, coasteering and sea kayaking. Boat trips and fishing can also be arranged.
Grab your golf clubs and in five minutes you’ll be on Trevose Head’s championship golf course - rated one of the UK’s best. For a little indulgence afterwards, why not pay a visit to The Scarlet Spa in Mawgan Porth with its lantern-lit treatment rooms and cliff-top hot tub?
There are some excellent coastal walks nearby including Trevose to Padstow via Stepper Point, Bedruthan Steps to Trevose, or over to Constantine Bay. OS maps are provided for your convenience. Alternatively, hire bikes from Padstow Cycle Hire and discover the Camel Trail on two wheels. If you fancy staying closer to home, we can arrange for personal trainers, beauty and massage therapists, and even yoga and Pilates instructors, to come to the house.
Nearby Padstow offers some excellent dining options. Rick Stein’s flagship Seafood Restaurant is a splurge you won’t regret and if you fancy something more relaxed, Stein’s Fish and Chips makes an excellent choice. The Michelin-starred Paul Ainsworth at No.6 is also a firm favourite.
Across the estuary, head to Rock, where you’ll find delicious dishes at the laid-back beachside eatery, Blue Tomato, along with Nathan Outlaw’s public house, The Mariners. A little further afield, Nathan Outlaw’s eponymous restaurant at Port Isaac - and the UK's best restaurant for 2018 according to The Good Food Guide - is well worth a visit.
