Data Protection Policy (‘Policy')
Should you choose to place a booking at one of our houses, we will be required to obtain some personal information from you including but not limited to your name, address, contact telephone number and email address.
We take responsibility for the protection of your personal information. Should you wish us to organise additional services during your stay such as restaurant or attraction bookings you accept that we may be required to provide certain personal information to third parties and by requesting that we proceed with such bookings you consent to all the information you provide to us being passed on to those third parties. A member of our client service team will discuss this with you at the time of your booking.
We may communicate with you by electronic means. By providing us with an active email address, you agree that you are happy for us to communicate with you in this way in order to: advise you of products or services that may be of interest to you; notify you of special offer rates available at any of our properties; advise you of any website updates; or provide you with any other information that we consider would be of interest to you. You may exercise your right to prevent us from contacting you at any time by emailing us at info@simonescapes.com
Website
SimonEscapes’ website host, GloverSure, stores basic server access logs for debugging, security and service review (not marketing). They also store website information in a segregated database which they have access to in order to perform maintenance and occasional debugging. They may create additional log files for debugging and testing purposes. These will exist for as long as the files are needed and are deleted straight after. They typically do not back up these types of file.
Enquiry Forms
When you complete a contact form on SimonEscapes’ website to enquire about our properties, we will retain your name, email address and, where supplied, your phone number. This information will be retained on the third-party databases, Supercontrol and Mailchimp, and will be used by SimonEscapes to contact you about your enquiry and for SimonEscapes’ marketing purposes. Your information will not be passed on to any other parties. You may unsubscribe from SimonEscapes’ marketing emails at any time and request for your details to be removed from Supercontrol and Mailchimp at any time by sending an email request to: info@simonescapes.com
Newsletters
When you request to subscribe to receive SimonEscapes’ newsletters on the SimonEscapes website, you will receive an email via our third-party email service provider, Mailchimp, asking you to confirm your subscription. You will also receive an email via Mailchimp to confirm your subscription. Once you have done this you are added to SimonEscapes’ list of customer email addresses which is stored in Mailchimp. SimonEscapes will periodically send newsletters to this list with updates about SimonEscapes and the products and services it offers. You may choose to unsubscribe from these newsletters at any time by clicking on the ‘Unsubscribe’ link contained within each newsletter.

The SimonEscapes website uses Google Analytics’ tracking services. This is used for tracking aggregated information and not individuals. Please see the Google Analytics privacy policy for more information.
You may choose to interact with SimonEscapes’ Facebook and Twitter pages. Facebook and Twitter are subject to their own privacy policies and settings which you should refer to regarding their use of your data.
During the course of your visit to the SimonEscapes website one or more files (cookies) may be downloaded to your computer that can be used to identify your browser between visits and record how you first arrived on our website. These cookies come from Google Analytics and AddThis. You can disable cookies at any time by changing your browser settings.
The contents of this Policy do not affect your statutory rights under the Data Protection Act 1998. In particular, should you request us to do so, we will provide you with a copy of all personal information that we hold about you. Any such request may be subject to a small fee to meet our administration costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
