Abersoch is a wonderful base to explore the Llŷn Peninsula from. It has great beaches, internationally recognised sailing waters, pleasant climate and beautiful scenery. Walking, cycling, surfing, sailing, diving, golf and fishing are just some of the many activity options all on your doorstep.
Activities
- Horse Riding
Along the Cilan headland, just above Borth Cottage, off road so ideal for experienced and novice riders, as well as children. - Stable day at the Pen-Llyn Lusitano Stud & Riding Centre
Bring a packed lunch and take a lesson, a Hack and help with the Horses they can also take you on an exciting beach ride, stopping at the local Inn for refreshments en route. Suitable for novices or experienced riders, covering basic dressage, show jumping and cross country. They work the team of Lusitano Stallions and clients who come to ride can sometimes catch a 'workout' with them. (6 miles) - Golf

Sporting Clays or Learn To Shoot; lessons for beginners, individual one on one or groups (5 persons per instructor) (4 miles) - Sailing, Powerboat Courses, Catamaran & Dinghy Lessons
Or for a bit of fun an Adult Joyride - a 30 minute accompanied sail around Abersoch Bay in a Dart 16 (1 mile)

- Pwllheli - Every Wednesday (7 miles) - Llechwedd Slate Caverns
Underground rides through the caverns. The caverns are a member of the top ten attractions of North Wales and Attractions of Snowdonia. There is also a shop and cafe plus the Victorian Village with a traditional tavern and old fashioned sweet shop. (31 miles) - Portmeirion Village and Gardens
The classic Italianate village and gardens by Clough Williams-Ellis. The setting for "The Prisoner" TV series. (23 miles) - Ffestiniog Railway
World famous narrow gauge railway runs from the sea at Porthmadog into the mountains at Blaenau Ffestiniog. (20 miles) - Plas Glyn-y-Weddw
An excellent arts centre housed in a magnificent Grade II Listed Victorian Gothic Mansion, located in Llanbedrog. (3 miles) - Caernarfon Castle
Possibly the most famous of Wales's castles. King Edward intended this castle to be a royal residence and seat of government for North Wales. In 1969, the castle gained worldwide fame as the setting for the investiture of HRH Prince Charles as Prince of Wales. (27 miles) - Snowdon
Snowdon is at the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. The area is steeped in history and benefits from some of the most beautiful views in all of Britain. (36 miles) - Dwyfor Ranch – Rabbit Farm and Animal Park
Situated in the village of Llanystumdwy between Porthmadog and Pwllheli, a great day out for the children.
